Cherokee Bluff jumped to No. 3 in the latest Georgia High School Association Class 3A Playoff Rankings released Tuesday morning.
The Bears (6-0, .668 PSR) routed West Hall, 41-8, on Friday to move up two spots in the rankings.
Jefferson (4-2, .659 PSR) knocked off Monroe Area but dropped one spot to No. 5 this week.
Meanwhile, Lumpkin County remained at No. 15 (4-2, .555 PSR). North Hall (4-2, .552 PSR) moved up two spots to 16th. West Hall (4-3, .517 PSR) dropped five spots to No. 30.
In Class 2A, East Jackson (3-3, .506 PSR) is the highest-ranked area team but dropped one spot to No. 21. Union County, (3-4, .494 PSR), is ranked 25th.
In Class A Division 1, Commerce (4-3, .575 PSR) jumped Rabun County to move up eight spots to No. 19. The Tigers knocked off the Wildcats on Friday. Rabun County (5-2, .554 PSR) fell to No. 21. Fannin County (7-0, .708) is the highest-ranked public school in Class A Division 1 at No. 2.
The GHSA will use the playoff rankings to seed the playoffs this season in Class A, Division 1 through Class 3A.
