BROOKFIELD, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) - Mary Ann C. Garriott, 76, of Brookfield, died Thursday evening, March 13, 2025 surrounded by her family, at the Continuing Health Care Nursing Center in Niles.

She was born June 24, 1948 in Youngstown, a daughter of Frank and Ann (Soski) Vargo.

Mary Ann was a 1966 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School and spent her adult life as a homemaker, raising and caring for her family.

She married John C. Garriott on August 14, 1971. They shared 53 years of marriage and many happy memories together. He survives her.

Mary Ann was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church in Youngstown. She enjoyed shopping and a life centered around her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she dearly loved. Mary Ann was a kind, loving wife, mother, and "Bubba". She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her two daughters; Heather Cigoi, of Broadview Heights, and Christina (Lou) DeJulia, of Hermitage. She also leaves behind a brother, Dr. John (Mary Beth) Vargo, of North Jackson; and four beloved grandchildren; Abbey and Katie Cigoi and Micah and Gia DeJulia.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, 5797 Mahoning Ave., Austintown.

Friends may call one hour prior to services from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

She will be laid to rest in the Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.
