Baron Corbin Unveils New Ring Name Following WWE Exit

Baron Corbin is no longer part of the WWE family following his departure back in November 2024. It was simply just a matter of time before Corbin would reinvent himself outside of WWE and now Corbin has revealed his new ring name, something that will definitely excite fans.

Corbin made his return to the ring at this month's The People vs. GCW event, where he faced Josh Barnett in a Bloodsport match but lost. Although he wrestled under his real name, Tom Pestock, he recently filed to trademark the name "BISHOP DYER," which has sparked rumors that it could be his new ring name.

While speaking to Chris Van Vliet, Baron Corbin confirmed he will wrestle under the name "The Nomad" Bishop Dyer. This new name combines his old WWE character and his future wrestling plans. Corbin explained that he is open to working with different wrestling promotions like New Japan, TNA, and NWA. He loves wrestling and performing for fans, but he doesn't want to sign a contract right now because he likes having the freedom to choose where he works.

"I've talked to you about I want to go here, I want to go here, I want to go here. I want to go to New Japan. TNA has called, so maybe there's something there.

"Maybe NWA, I'm open to it all because I love wrestling, and if I can go somewhere and be in front of fans, I'm going to go like, it's just I know that I don't want to sign a contract right now, because I like this ability."

The name "The Nomad" Bishop Dyer is a way to show growth from his "Lone Wolf" character. He feels it's a strong and powerful name, and he's excited to travel and see where his wrestling journey leads him.

"So I'm going with 'The Nomad' Bishop Dyer, I'm gonna be The Nomad. I'm gonna roam and I'm gonna go to all these. Change a little bit, because it kind of pays tribute to The Lone Wolf, Dire Wolf, and then a bishop is higher than a baron, so we're going up.

"I think it's just a powerful name, it's a cool name, and I want to be The Nomad. I'm gonna float and see where the wrestling world takes me in that sense."

The new name "The Nomad" Bishop Dyer shows that Corbin is starting a new part of his career. He is excited to move between different wrestling companies, meet new fans, and keep growing as a wrestler. Corbin is looking forward to what comes next, and fans are excited to see where his journey goes since the possibilities are definitely endless now.
