Woman charged with assaulting 2 officers in North Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) -- A woman was arrested in North Nashville on Tuesday after allegedly assaulting three people, including two law enforcement officers, according to documents from the Metro Nashville Police Department.

Davidson County Sheriff's Office records show Ashlee Lusk, 40, was arrested on Dec. 24 after the incident.

According to court documents, officers were called to a Love's Truck Stop in the 100 block of Trinity Lane where a caller reported that an assault had occurred after an individual attempted to steal a drink from the store.

Officials said the accused suspect had left the store by the time responding officers arrived. The officers reviewed security camera footage from the store and observed Lusk taking a fountain drink and attempting to leave the store without paying. She was confronted by the store manager and employees, at which point she reportedly threw the drink at the manager and left.

Reports indicated that officers found a woman who matched the suspect's description near Dickerson Pike and Trinity Lane and attempted to take her into custody.

According to police, Lusk attempted to fight back as she was placed in handcuffs. She allegedly punched both officers in the face, leaving one with a cut to his forehead, and the other officer with a bruised right cheek and a cut to the side of his neck.

Reports state Lusk resisted being placed in the patrol vehicle, and a glass pipe fell from her clothing and shattered, further wounding one of the officers.

Lusk faces the following charges and is detained in Metro Jail on a $10,500 bond.
