The Alzheimer's Association is looking for people to co-lead support groups for families and caregivers of dementia patients. Volunteers must commit to a year and do monthly three-hour shifts. Must pass background test and be 18 years old to volunteer.

Court Appointed Special Advocates of Sonoma County
Volunteer board members sought
Court Appointed Special Advocates of Sonoma County is looking for people to join its board of directors and support its mission to advocate for neglected and abused children. Volunteers will spend four to six hours a month attending meetings, speaking to community members, supporting community outreach, fundraising and more. Must be 21 years or older to volunteer.

If you're somebody who enjoys spending time outdoors and with kids then volunteering as a docent for the Laguna de Santa Rosa Foundation might be a great fit. The foundation will be holding eight training courses for individuals interested in becoming docents and lead activities for third graders in and out of the classroom. Training starts March 4 and continue for eight consecutive Tuesdays from 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. until April 22. Course fee is $175. Must be 18 years or older to volunteer.

Roseland District Through College Mentor Program
People needed to provide college mentoring
Roseland University Prep and Roseland Collegiate Prep in Santa Rosa are seeking adults to help high school students achieve a successful postsecondary education. Mentors will act as a resource and support for a student and help them complete high school. A two-and-a-half year commitment of two hours monthly is required. Must be 21 years or older to volunteer.
Salvation Army Santa Rosa is seeking individuals to volunteer and ring bells for the organization's Red Kettle Campaign. Bell ringers will raise money for the Salvation Army's holiday fund. Must be 18 years or older.
Sonoma County Philharmonic is looking for people to greet patrons, sell and take tickets, assist with seating and sell refreshments at its performances in Santa Rosa. Volunteers get to attend the performances for free while working. Must be 16 years or older to volunteer.
