Santo Domingo - Skyhigh Dominicana made the inaugural flight of its new route connecting Santo Domingo with Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. The flight, which departed from Las Americas International Airport (AILA), marks a milestone in the expansion of the airline, strengthening connections between the Dominican Republic and the western region of the island of enchantment.
The flight was welcomed at the Rafael Hernández International Airport of Aguadilla with a ceremony attended by local authorities, representatives of the tourism industry and executives of Skyhigh Dominicana.
During the event, Cesarina Beauchamp, executive vice president of the airline, highlighted the importance of this new route to promote tourism and commercial exchange between both regions.
"We are very excited to have successfully completed this inaugural flight," stated Beauchamp. "This new connection between Santo Domingo and Aguadilla represents an important step in our growth strategy and will allow us to continue offering convenient and accessible options to our passengers," he said.
The new route will operate twice weekly, on Mondays and Thursdays, aboard modern Embraer 190 and Embraer 175 aircraft, with capacities for 97 and 88 passengers respectively. With a flight time of just 40 minutes, offering a fast and efficient option for travelers between the two destinations.
