Los Angeles sits at 2-2 at the bye after getting out to a 2-0 start with wins over the Raiders and Panthers, but losses to the Steelers and Chiefs have left the Chargers with questions to answer during their early bye week.
These five players have no questions about them, however, as they've been LA's best to start the season.

Dobbins' start for the Chargers was nothing short of historic, as he became just the second player in NFL history to rush for 130 or more yards on 20 or fewer carries in the first two games of the season. Even with a more sluggish effort in the following two games, the running back has been a key part of LA's offense and will likely remain near the top of the rushing leaderboards leaguewide when the Chargers return to play.
WR Ladd McConkey

McConkey, drafted in the second round this April, has emerged as Los Angeles' best receiver, leading the squad in targets, receptions, and yards through four games. The rookie has also found the end zone twice, most recently on a contested catch in Week 4 against the Chiefs that quarterback Justin Herbert fit into a tight window. His 1.79 yards per route run is 32nd in the league, just behind Dallas' CeeDee Lamb.

Ford has experienced a career resurgence at defensive tackle for the Chargers, playing as one of the league's best interior linemen through four games. His play is a major reason why Los Angeles has the best run defense in the league by expected points added (EPA) per rush. At just 28 years old, the Chargers may very well be able to lean on Ford for another few years if he sustains this level of play.

Similar to Ford, Fulton's resurgence for the Chargers has been nothing short of remarkable at cornerback, an important development given Asante Samuel Jr.'s continued struggles as a tackler. The former Titan has allowed just 7 receptions for 67 yards through four games, allowing the second-lowest passer rating on the team among players with at least 10 coverage snaps.
S Elijah Molden

Molden has been the best coverage player on the Chargers by passer rating allowed, holding opposing quarterbacks to a 56.3 rating in 105 coverage snaps. He's filled in remarkably when asked to start in lieu of an injured Alohi Gilman in Week 2 and a suspended Derwin James in Week 4, intercepting a pass against Carolina and racking up six tackles against Kansas City.
