BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) -- The East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office is investigating after a body was found in a pond in Baton Rouge.

According to the sheriff's office, around 4:30 a.m. Sunday morning, deputies were called to a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of Bluebonnet Boulevard and Harveston Way. Upon arrival, deputies learned the vehicle was in a pond near the intersection.

The St. George Fire Department entered the pond and found the driver, who has been identified as 40-year-old Alex Gonzales-Hernandez.
