Alex Pereira is still riding high off his third Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Light Heavyweight championship defense at UFC 307 two weeks ago, in which he brutally finished Khalil Rountree Jr. in the fourth round (watch highlights).
While Pereira may not be killing himself to make Middleweight anymore, getting to light heavyweight is still a rough cut. "Poatan" recently released footage on his YouTube channel of his weight cut for UFC 307, and it was not a fun time.
Check it out below:
The start of the video shows Periera doing a regular weight-cutting routine, which includes working out in a sweatsuit for 30 minutes, going into the traveling sauna, and then lying in warm towels like a mummy.
The rest of the video shows Pereira after weigh-ins, including him weighing 228.2 pounds when arriving at Delta Center in Salt Lake City and then putting on his iconic face paint.
Pereira is riding a five-fight win streak with four knockouts and three title defenses.
