QUINCY (WGEM) - The fifth Veterans Resource Fair invites veterans and their families for free.
Five years ago, several members of the Tri-State Veterans Support group came together with one idea: find a way to give veterans the resources they need to succeed.
"This is a great time to be able to come in and pull all of those great resources for veterans into one location," Tri-State Resource Organization Facilitator Richard Elsenpeter explained.
The event provides veterans with resources to improve their lives after the military. Elsenpeter explained that the point of the fair is to provide veterans with the knowledge and opportunities to succeed. He added that resources have improved for veterans over time but many still don't know how to access them.
"A lot of times veterans feel lost, they feel left out. They don't know who to see or where to go, so this is a chance for all of those resources in the area to come together to show veterans what they can do," Elsenpeter said.
The event will be held Thursday, 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Kroc Center in Quincy. Veterans are invited to bring their families to the event which has no charge.
