On Saturday at 9:50 a.m. the NWS Sacramento CA issued a wind advisory.

South winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts 40 to 55 mph expected for Motherlode until noon today. The NWS adds, "Strongest winds are expected over the foothills, with locally higher gusts."

"Strong winds will blow around unsecured objects, blow down weakened trees and powerlines. A few power outages may result," says the NWS. "Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects."
