Dodgers predicted to reach fan pleasing deal with All-Star slugger

The Los Angeles Dodgers won the World Series in 2024, but have not slowed their pursuit of superstars. They already added Blake Snell but could bring back a key player from last season as well.

While making predictions for the offseason, Bleacher Report's Zachary D. Rymer predicted that the Dodgers would re-sign Teoscar Hernández who became a fan-favorite in his first season with the team.

"This is perhaps a boring outcome. We already know what the 32-year-old Hernández looks like in Dodger Blue, as well as what the team can achieve with him in the mix," wrote Rymer. "Still, it's too soon to forget just how bonkers-ly good the Dodgers lineup is with Hernández in it. He had an .840 OPS and 33 homers this year and he was only their fourth-best hitter."

Snell signed a five-year, $182 million deal with the Dodgers. Bringing Hernández back would all-in-all be a successful offseason for the team. Spotrac projects Hernández to sign a three-year, $71 million deal this offseason.

Hernández hit 33 home runs in a career year with the Dodgers. He was named to his second All-Star Game. Hernández told reporters after the World Series that the Dodgers are his top choice, but it is not in his hands.

"The Dodgers will be my priority in free agency. I will do whatever is possible to return. It's not in my hands, but if it were I'd pick them," said Hernández.

The Dodgers signed Michael Conforto to a one-year, $17 million deal, but according to MLB.com's Mark Feinsand, the Dodgers' addition of Conforto does not mean they are still not going to try and re-sign Hernández.
