Conference USA has its own niche.It might have sent a team to the New Year's Six game last year - and Liberty is sort of in the hunt again this time around for a College Football Playoff spot - but for the most part it remains a tad off the grid. It'll likely get only four teams into bowl games, but Sam Houston, WKU, Jacksonville State, and the aforementioned Liberty are all good enough to potentially do some damage.

For the most part, though, the conference is about rebuilding.
