Jaydyn Carrico went on one last scoring spree on Sunday.
The Gate City High School senior scored 23 points to earn MVP honors as the West Team recorded a 91-67 victory over the East in the inaugural Basketball Coaches Association of Virginia All-Star game at Randolph College in Lynchburg.
Carrico has signed with the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky, after averaging 21.1 points and helping Gate City go 18-8 during the 2024-25 season.
Abbie Jordan (19 points) and Emmah McAmis (seven points, 10 assists) of VHSL Class 2 state champion Wise County Central also keyed the victory.
Woodgrove's Valerie Blankenship was the East team's MVP after scoring 20 points and she beat Jordan in the event's 3-point shootout.
No details were provided on the boys game, which featured Markelle Ray (Graham) representing Southwest Virginia on the West team.
