NFL Week 10 betting lines: Jayden Daniels, Commanders favored to land signature win over Steelers

Jayden Daniels had his signature moment of the season two weeks ago when he completed a Hail Mary pass as time expired to beat the Chicago Bears and Caleb Williams. That doesn't exactly qualify as a signature win, though. The rookie quarterback is still looking for one of those.

The Washington Commanders are 7-2, but they've only beaten one team that currently has a winning record. That team is the 5-4 Arizona Cardinals. And the Bears are the only team they beat that had a winning record at the time of the game.

That's not the fault of Daniels or the Commanders. You play who you play. But it does leave some doubt about their ability to beat good teams. They have a chance to eliminate that doubt with this week's game against the 6-2 Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Commanders are 2.5-point home favorites over Pittsburgh for what may prove to be a true heavyweight battle. If they're able to pull out the win, we'll have to start taking them more serious as a playoff contender and possibly more. That they've even come so far as to be favored in a game like this speaks to how good they've been.

Now, let's get into the other lines for Week 10, including the easiest call of the week, one game to avoid and more. Odds are via BetMGM.

The Lines

Bengals at Ravens (-6.5) (O/U 52.5) -- Thursday Night Football

Giants vs. Panthers (+4.5) (O/U 42) -- Game in Germany

Patriots at Bears (-6.5) (O/U 39.5)

Bills at Colts (+4.5) (O/U 47)

Broncos at Chiefs (-9.5) (O/U 42)

Falcons at Saints (+3.5) (O/U 47.5)

49ers at Buccaneers (+6.5) (O/U 48)

Steelers at Commanders (-2.5) (O/U 45.5)

Vikings at Jaguars (+4) (O/U 46)

Titans at Chargers (-7.5) (O/U 38)

Eagles at Cowboys (+7) (O/U 42.5)

Jets at Cardinals (-1) (O/U 46)

Lions at Texans (+3) (O/U 49) -- Sunday Night Football

Dolphins at Rams (-2.5) (O/U 50.5) -- Monday Night Football

Easiest call of the week: Bills -4.5

I think Indy's loss to the Vikings this past Sunday night proved the switch to Joe Flacco won't fix all of their offensive issues. And though the Bills' defense isn't quite as good as Minnesota's, their quarterback will probably require Flacco to score a lot more to try to get a win.

The Bills have scored at least 30 points in three straight games and six of nine games overall. The Colts haven't even eclipsed 20 points since Week 5. Flacco or not, I don't love their chances to cover anything less than a touchdown against Buffalo.

Most valuable moneyline: Falcons (-185)

Things are falling apart in New Orleans. The Saints fired head coach Dennis Allen, Derek Carr is under fire from every direction and Cam Jordan is out here apologizing for losing to the Panthers. It's all bad.

Even playing at home this week, in a heated rivalry game against Atlanta, the Saints are in no shape to put up a good fight this week. The Falcons should win, and they should win big. They have the shortest Week 10 moneyline I feel most confident in.

Game to avoid: Jets at Cardinals

There are a few divisional games this week that I could have put here, but none feel as unpredictable as the game between the Jets and Cardinals. Oddsmakers apparently agree based on the one-point spread.

It's easy to feel better about the Jets after last week's win over Houston, but they're still incredibly flawed. They particularly struggle stopping the run, which is something Arizona has leaned into doing well with James Conner.

Best over/under: Bengals at Ravens (Over 52.5)

Let's be clear about something here. This total is bait, and I'm aware it's bait. It's the largest total of the week and oddsmakers are daring you to take the over just for the game to inevitably fall under. But I absolutely do not care.

Both teams are coming off 41-point games, and nothing I've seen from either defense this season suggests these teams will be able to stop each other. Derrick Henry will pound Cincinnati's weak front, opening things up for Lamar Jackson and the passing offense. And Joe Burrow will eat against Baltimore's leaky secondary. I'm all over this over.
