UK-headquartered business management software provider Access Group has agreed to acquire Paytronix, a US-based company specialising in guest engagement for restaurants and convenience stores.
Paytronix's unified platform offers a range of capabilities including online ordering, loyalty programmes, omnichannel messaging, mobile apps, gift cards, marketplace management and payment solutions.
By integrating Paytronix's technology with its existing suite of products, Access Group aims to deliver an enhanced service that further improves the overall guest experience.
Founded in 2001 by Andrew Robbins, Paytronix operates in more than 50,000 locations across 1,800 brands. The company has processed more than 40 billion consumer transactions.
The company has established more than 500 partnerships with industry giants such as Google and Apple Pay, Toast, Square, DoorDash and UberEats.
Its clientele includes single operators as well as large multi-unit enterprises such as Panera Bread and Five Guys.
Boston-based private equity firm Great Hill Partners acquired Paytronix in 2017 and has been instrumental in the company's growth.
Paytronix CEO Jeff Hindman said: "We've had the privilege of working alongside Great Hill Partners to deliver our solutions and services to the innovative restaurant and convenience store brands that we proudly call clients.
"The acquisition by the Access Group is the beginning of another stage in our growth, and I'm excited to say that from here we're only going to build upon the service and capabilities that our clients know us for.
