In response to the flood, the State Ministry of Health, with WHO's leadership, conducted a public health risk assessment to develop the Incident Action Plan that guided the response. WHO, UNICEF, UNFPA,IOM, IRC, MSF Spain, IMC, ACF, CBI, INTERSOS, MI, FHI 360, RHHF, LESGO, FIRST STEP, CASFOD, AHSF, CARE NIGERIA, and other partners provided essential, life-saving health services in IDP camps. Approximately 75,000 new consultations have been conducted in these camps to address common ailments and conditions, including communicable and non- communicable diseases and mental health issues.
