The world is filled with teenagers living in a world of camera based social media, posing here, there and everywhere for the perfect photo of a falsely represented life. That seems to be the norm. What's so rare as to be nearly invisible is the Dads of the world who jump careers to be rapid fire commentators on whatever traffic moves across their screens.
Goose is the creation of Craig Clark - a troll of sorts who posts video content on all major social media networks. He doesn't have a writer's room, or a team of comedians to punch up his jokes. Instead, he reacts instinctively to whatever attracts his attention, and he leverages that content into something funny.
I know this, because in the course of interviewing Goose, we got into a comedy duel of sorts. It was an interesting match. I had more Dad years of practice, while Goose has a better comedy filter. We made each other laugh, but it was exhausting. Matching wits with someone whose job it is to fashion funny out of thin air requires stamina that few of us maintain.

Several years ago Goose passed the million follower threshold he set as a goal, allowing him to quit his job and move full time into content creation. That's a fancy term for making videos to post. From that point forward, the entire job is staying in front of what fascinates the internet. It is shocking just how many people are earning money from either the careful or careless use of social media. To some degree it doesn't matter which path. All that does matter is that you're online all the time, because the internet has endless options and once you've pulled back someone else slides right into your space.
Goose has made quite the name for himself on social media, earning a reputation as a source of endless amusement. With his quick wit and sharp sense of humor, Goose has managed to capture the attention and hearts of many followers across various platforms. He uses them all: TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, X, and Snapchat. He's also know to be in the clubs - comedy clubs.
Goose's humor is a blend of clever wordplay, observational comedy, and a dash of self-deprecation. He has a knack for finding humor in everyday situations, making his content relatable and genuinely funny. Success in the public eye requires the ability to say what everyone might be thinking, or to twist what's obvious into drawing an unexpected conclusion. Funny is what catches you off guard. Sustaining the ability to see the world just a little off kilter is a muscle which requires exercise.
Goose was fun, and through him I see hope for all of us who are not classically or remotely pretty. Your ears don't distinguish based upon bone structure. It's about triggering the brain. Goose is following his path, looking for brains and leaving laughter and quizzical looks behind.
