All You Need To Know About The Haughton Christmas Festival

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Haughton, Louisiana!

In fact, this weekend, the whole town will be celebrating with everything from a parade to a festival and toy drive for less fortunate children.

The festivities will begin with the annual Haughton Christmas Parade starting at 10:00 am tomorrow (Saturday, December 14)

The parade is always an exciting time for the Town of Haughton as they bring Christmas cheer to the community. The parade begins at First Baptist Church of Haughton and will take a ride down West Jackson Street, loop around Hwy 157 (N. Elm) and turn down West McKinley Avenue.

Following the parade, activities will move to Haughton Middle School at 250 Champion Shores for the 8th Annual Haughton Christmas Festival!

The festival begins at 12:00 pm and will continue until 4:00 pm and will feature scores of vendors and some great Christmas gift ideas.

Inside the heated, out-of-the-weather Haughton Middle School, attendees will be treated to visits from Santa Claus, a number of kids' activities, special performances from local groups, food trucks, and a possible visit from Grench Haughton.

Speaking of this old Grench geezer, you might not have seen that he was recently arrested by Haughton Police and sentenced to collecting $30,000 worth of toys for local, less fortunate children by Judge Mike Craig.

So, this Sunday, December 15, beginning at 3:00 pm the Haughton Police Department will escort the Haughton Grench around Town to collect toys in each neighborhood. If you would like to help the Grench make bail please donate any new or slightly used toys.
