Juech will work alongside Kohler School District Superintendent Lisa Greene during the transition.

KOHLER - Kohler School District Board of Education approved the appointment of Michael Juech as the new superintendent.

This follows candidate evaluations over several months and interviews earlier this month.

The pool was narrowed from 24 to four candidates, who were interviewed by the board Dec. 2.

"I am excited to join the Kohler School District and be part of this vibrant community," Juech said in a news release.

"I look forward to working closely with teachers, staff, students and families to continue fostering an environment where everyone thrives."

KSD is still working on a transition plan, but Juech will work along Superintendent Lisa Greene. The school district could not be immediately reached to learn when Juech would take over the role.

The school district worked with CESA 7, an educational services organization based in Green Bay, on the superintendent search.

"We are thrilled to have found such a strong match for our district," Cory Bouck, president of the KSD board of education, said. "Dr. Juech's wealth of experience in education and his passion for fostering student success make him an outstanding choice for Kohler Schools."

Juech has been the assistant superintendent of operations at the Howard-Saumico School District for four years. He previously held administrative and teaching roles in the Campbellsport, Tomahawk, Grafton and Trevor-Wilmot school districts, many for one or several years.

He was one of two finalists for the superintendent role at the Port Washington-Saukville School District this spring, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.
