Set to launch on the 14th of November, LEGO Horizon Adventures is an interesting take on Sony's popular franchise, translating Aloy's story into a faithful LEGO format - even more so than TT Games' long-running LEGO series. With 3 weeks to go until its official launch, LEGO Horizon Adventures has now gone Gold.
Making the announcement on Twitter, the team at Guerrilla Games stated "We are thrilled to announce that LEGO Horizon Adventures has gone GOLD! You'll be able to join Aloy and her companions on a colorful new adventure very soon!"
For the uninitiated, 'Going Gold' means that the LEGO Horizon Adventures master disc has been submitted to the game's publisher: Sony. Following the submission of the gold master, discs can be pressed with finalised software and digital storefronts can upload the 1.0 version of the game ready for release.
It's a process that every game in development goes through, and means that (aside from post-launch patches) LEGO Horizon Adventures should be complete and ready to play.
Among all of PlayStation's franchises, Horizon is easily one of the most appropriate to be adapted into a more family-friendly LEGO format, and so it is exciting to know that in just 3 weeks the game will be officially available. Hopefully it will be as fun to play as it looks.
