HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- Hartford police are searching for the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run that occurred early this morning.

Around midnight, Hartford patrol officers arrived at 605 Albany Ave. for reports of a car driving away after striking a bicyclist.

The bicyclist is 27-year-old Rosevelt Vann Jr. from East Hartford. Vann suffered serious injuries and was pronounced deceased at Saint Francis Hospital.

Hartford police are now on the hunt for the driver of a black Infiniti sedan that fled the scene heading South on Garden St.

Members of Hartford police's Crime Scene Division are actively investigating this fatal hit-and-run.
