Actor Terrence J and actress Novi Brown will host the 2025 NAACP Image Awards red carpet. The duo will interview award recipients and discuss the evening's ceremony, fashion choices for the event and so much more.
Among the awards for the night, the Entertainer of the Year Honor is among the highlights of the show. The 2025 class of nominees includes Keke Palmer, Kendrick Lamar, Cynthia Erivo, Shannon Sharpe and Kevin Hart. Each nominee is credited with making a major impact in film, music and the entertainment industry overall in 2024.
Former Vice President Kamala Harris will also be honored at the 2025 NAACP Image Awards. Harris will receive the Chairman's Award during the ceremony. "Vice President Kamala Harris is more than a leader -- she is a force of change, driven by an unwavering passion to shape a brighter, more equitable future," Leon W. Russell, chair of the NAACP's national board of directors, said in a statement per AP News.
"It is with great honor that we present her with the Chairman's Award at this year's NAACP Image Awards, celebrating her relentless dedication to justice, equality and the betterment of our society."
The Wayans family will also be honored at the ceremony and inducted into the NAACP Image Awards Hall of Fame. "For decades, the Wayans family has been at the forefront of comedy, breaking barriers and opening doors for waves of entertainers," said Derrick Johnson, NAACP president and chief executive officer.
"Their trailblazing work in television, film and stand-up has transcended pop culture and cemented their legacy in the NAACP Image Awards Hall of Fame. Recognizing their achievements with this induction is a celebration of a multigenerational legacy that continues to advance and uplift communities. The Wayans family has set a standard of excellence, and their influence resonates far beyond the stage and screen."
