SHOPPERS hoping to snag some last minute gifts may be in luck with a number of stores open on Christmas Day.

With a limited selection of shops open on the holidays, shoppers will need to get creative.

A number of pharmacies will be open on Christmas Day including Walgreens and CVS.

Last minute gift ideas may include make up bundles, or even a simple gift card.

Shoppers can also purchase a coffee bundle from Starbucks for any caffeine lovers as a last minute gift.

Dunkin' Donuts will also be opening at select locations but potentially at reduced hours.

It is worth checking the individual location to see operating hours.

Shoppers are also advised to check the specific hours of each pharmacy store, as some may be closed or have reduced hours on Christmas Day.

According to a Walgreens spokesperson, most Walgreens will be open on Christmas Day with adjusted operating hours from 9am to 6pm.

24 hour Walgreens locations will remain open as normal.

For shoppers on the hunt for last minute grocery items, you may be in luck with a variety of shops open on Christmas Day.

These include Albertsons, with select locations open with reduced hours. Shoppers are advised to check the website for the full list of local hours.

Safeway will also be open in some locations, with reduced hours.

Other supermarkets open include Giant Food, with many stores open from 8am to 5pm on Christmas Day.

A majority of 7-Eleven stores will be open 24/7 with some locations operating with adjusted hours.

Major retailers including Walmart, Costco and Target will all be shut on Christmas Day.

The big brands announced the shut downs in November, arguing it will allow the workers to spend time with their families.

Walmart's 4,606 locations nationwide also closed early at 6pm on Christmas Eve.

Although it can vary by location and state, typical Walmart business hours are 6 AM to 11 PM.

That means shopping time was cut by a whopping five hours.

Shoppers are also being advised to pay attention to key dates if they are hoping to return items.

Many retailers put a time limit on how long you have to return or exchange the item.
