Atlantic City man gets 50 years for 2022 murder of Philadelphia man

An Atlantic City man convicted of fatally shooting a Philadelphia man at an apartment complex in the resort two years ago was sentenced to 50 years in prison Thursday, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said.

Kenneth Creek, 49, was found guilty June 11 of murder and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon in the shooting death of Jordan Eaddy, 31.

He must serve 42½ years before becoming eligible for parole.

Police responded to the Carolina Village apartments on Baltic Avenue about midnight Aug. 25, 2022, and found Eaddy dead in the grass with two gunshot wounds, the Prosecutor's Office said.

Surveillance footage showed Creek fire twice at Eaddy as he tried to flee, according to the Prosecutor's Office. A medical examiner testified that one wound to the back caused Eaddy's death.
