The 49-year-old actor has played Jim Hopper on the popular Netflix series since the first episode.
During an appearance at the 10th anniversary celebration for the Happy Sad Confused podcast on Thursday night (October 17), David opened up about the long-awaited conclusion to the show.
He also revealed the cast's emotional reaction to their final table read.
"They land the plane, and it is the best episode they've ever done," he promised.
"The end of this episode when we were reading it -- just us reading it -- about halfway through, people started crying," he recalled about their table read. "Then about the last 20 minutes, it was just uncontrollably crying, waves of different people. Noah Schnapp being my favorite."
He continued, saying, "I think part of that also is the fact that these kids, it was their childhood."
"It's 10 years later, and we examine that idea, and it's so well done and so beautiful ... It's such a great episode, and it's such a great season. You guys will love it," he said.
Earlier this week, we got the first photos of a new Stranger Things star on set.
