Stone Soup Books in Waynesboro has a new co-owner.
Janie Rambo joins Stone Soup founder Mary Katharine Froehlich in owning the bookstore, which Froehlich opened in 2006.
Stone Soup has been involved in many community events since its founding. Those include farm-to-table conferences, WMRA's Books & Brews, a collaboration with the Blue Ridge Children's Museum and, more recently, the Writer's Well.

Rambo said her new responsibility fulfills a lifelong dream.
"I have always loved reading and writing,'' she said in a statement. "It has offered a means of a creative release and escape since I was a teenager. And since I was a young adult, I have dreamed of running or owning a small bookstore."
The new partnership will allow Stone Soup to expand book selections and spaces for book clubs, author events, writer's workshops and author services, according to the business.
Froehlich said Stone Soup is looking to the future.
"We are thankful for where we have been and excited about continuing our visioning and planning for the next chapter,'' she said in a statement.
Stone Soup is located at 1501 Race Ave. in Waynesboro. It can be reached by phone at (540) 943-0084.
