ZEBULON, N.C. (WNCN) -- Police in Zebulon said officers, K-9 crews, and a dive team were out Friday searching for a Raleigh man who has been missing since Tuesday.
Kareem Shabazz vanished after he was last seen around 2 p.m. Tuesday doing car detailing work in the Weaver's Pond townhomes neighborhood, according to a news release from the town of Zebulon.
His phone has not been able to be reached since Tuesday. Zebulon officials said Shabazz was only in Zebulon on Tuesday to perform the car detailing work.
Crews were out Wednesday and Thursday searching for Shabazz and teams were also out Friday, officials said.
"Over the last three days many of you have seen quite a police presence in and around Weaver's Pond and Taryn Meadows as we continue to search for Kareem Shabazz," the Zebulon Police Department said Friday afternoon.
A K-9 team and a dive team were among the extra crews searching on Friday, police said.
"Over the weekend Kareem Shabazz's family will be sharing missing person flyers in Weaver Pond, Taryn Meadows, and Hunter's Green," police said in the release.
Officers said they are still asking for people to check surveillance video or images from Tuesday afternoon between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Police said anyone with information about Shabazz should call 911 and ask to speak with a Zebulon officer.
"We are sure Kareem's family and friends will be met with great community support this weekend," officers said in the release.
Zebulon police said they had help from the NCSBI, the Wilson County Sheriff's Office, and Wendell and Knightdale Police Departments
