Angelina Beautiful Clean held its annual Speakeasy Casino Night Friday, drawing a lively crowd at Crown Colony Country Club. The event supports ABC's mission of promoting environmental stewardship and beautification efforts in Angelina County.

"Casino Night is one of those times where you can have a safe and enjoyable evening with friends and a safe environment," executive director Kelly Shrout said.

The Speakeasy Casino Night featured games using "funny money." Guests played poker, blackjack and roulette, earning raffle tickets each time they won for a chance to win a prize of their choosing, including signed baseball memorabilia and a unique wine experience.

"All the proceeds of tonight will go to help promote Eco Camp," Shrout said. "It's a big passion; any nonprofit will tell you that you're in it for the mission and the vision."

ABC is a 501©3 nonprofit that has been a vital part of the community for 40 years, making significant strides to promote recycling, conservation and community involvement.

In addition to the casino games, the event raised funds for future projects, including Eco Camp, a program with the initiative to teach kids about environmental education. ABC is also hosting a tree-planting event next month, further emphasizing the organization's commitment to enhancing the environment.

"The goal is to bring the community together for a fun night for a good cause," Shrout said. "This is the biggest way we make money for our operating budget."
