SIOUX CITY -- Woodbury County voters may receive a USPS postage due notice in error from the United States Postal Service related to County Auditor Pat Gill's campaign mailings.
Last week the Friends and Supporters of Pat Gill campaign mailed over 7,000 postcards to voters throughout Woodbury County, according to a news release from the Woodbury County Democratic Central Committee.
"The postage on the card was correct based upon USPS.com-cited regulations. It has been brought to our attention that several voters received postage due notifications from the United States Postal Service (USPS)," according to the release.
The Democratic committee said they have been assured by the USPS that they paid the correct amount of postage and the notice is a USPS internal error.
"They are working with local post offices to resolve this issue. Voters do not need to report to the post office as per an initial instruction they may have received; they will receive the post card in their mailbox in the coming days," according to the release.
