Al Roker Reveals His Bold Go-to Move When He's Ready for a Party to End

Al Roker doesn't mess around when he thinks the time has come for his party guests to leave.

The Today show co-host has a trick up his sleeve for when partygoers overstay their welcome. He explained his bold go-to move while recording a video with his daughter, Courtney Roker Laga, for Delish. The father-daughter duo have in recent weeks been promoting their new cookbook, Al Roker's Recipes to Live By, which is due out on Tuesday, Oct. 15.

The video, which the magazine, Roker and Roker Laga all shared on Instagram on Friday, Oct. 11, began with Roker Laga, 37, reading a prompt about their party arrival timing preferences. Roker's oldest daughter explained that she feels a need to "be there early" and will often wait outside in her car for the party start time to creep closer.

"I don't like being late, at all," she admitted. "But I know a lot of people in our family are late, a lot." With this, Roker Laga cast a sideways glance at her father, who acted a bit guilty as he looked away from his daughter.

The video then jumped to a clip showing the meteorologist identifying "the thing that drives me nuts." The tendency that Roker, 70, finds frustrating "is when we have a party and people won't leave." He then explained what action he takes to encourage his guests to go on their way.

"I've literally had to go upstairs, get in my pajamas and come down," the father of three said. "And it's like, 'You know what? You can be wherever you want. You just can't stay here. Get out.'"

Fans laughed over the revelation in the post's comment section, with one person suspecting that guests don't like to leave the Roker home because "they feel very, very welcomed and comfortable."

One Instagram user urged Roker to think of lingering party guests "as a compliment."

"You have created such a welcoming environment, they feel safer within your walls than outside. So make them a parting plate of whatever and stand at the door with it😂," the Instagram user recommended.

Another fan suggested that Roker "needs the 'please leave by 9' banner hung up with the other party favors!"

"I'm with Al, Go Home....Now‼️," one fan wrote in support of the Today weather anchor.

"I'm with you, Al!! Get the hell outta my house!!" another fan agreed.
