The "Dumb Blonde" podcast host said she is scared of taking a higher dose of tirzepatide because she's "scared" of side effects

Bunnie Xo shared that she's started taking a small dose of the weight-loss medication tirzepatide -- but hasn't experienced any appetite suppression yet.

"I'm hungry as s---," Bunnie, 44, said on the latest episode of her podcast Dumb Blonde, where she revealed that she was "on my second day of tirzepatide."

"OK? I don't know. I woke up a pound and a half lighter though, but, man, I can eat," said Bunnie, who's on the road with her husband, country star Jelly Roll, on his Beautifully Broken tour.

"Like, I'm starving right now. I'm ready to eat again," Bunnie shared. "I ate way over my calories today, but I'm eating, like, a bunch of healthy s---, like, protein and veggies."

"Why am I so hungry on this s---?" she asked.

Previously approved to treat diabetes, tirzepatide was granted FDA approval for weight loss when a clinical trial found that high doses of tirzepatide helped patients lose about 52 lbs. -- or an average of 22.5% of their body weight.

The medication -- taken by injection in the thigh, stomach or arm -- not only reduces appetite but improves how the body breaks down sugar and fat.

It's commonly marketed under brand names Mounjaro or Zepbound, but Bunnie didn't specify if she was using either.

However, she did say she wasn't taking a full dose because she doesn't use medications in general.

"I was so scared to take it, dude," Bunnie said. "I was so scared to take it that I had nightmares the day before...I have nothing in my body."

"I am 100% f---ing just all natural," she continued. "Literally, have nothing in my system. So for me to even to take tirzepatide is a huge decision. So, I had a nightmare about it the night before."

She shared that she saw too many TikTok videos where content creators shared bad experiences with the medication, which factored into her decision to start on a smaller dose.

"I was scared and I'm microdosing it. I'm not starting out at a normal level," Bunnie explained.

Even with the smaller dose, however, she said she's experiencing some, ahem, side effects.

"I s--- my brains out," Bunnie said. "I also got sick. I felt like I was gonna projectile vomit, so I had to eat watermelon, and then that made me feel better. And, like, today I had a little wave of some stuff, but I got through it."

And now, Bunnie says, "I'm really hungry."

And as she reiterated, "I woke up a pound and a half lighter. So we'll see how it goes."
