STRATTON -- Registration opened for the 24 Hours of Stratton, a fundraising event for the Stratton Foundation in which nighttime skiing and boarding occurs at the resort.
The event is described by organizers as "a fun-filled festival weekend for the whole family for a great cause."
Participants can start a team, join one or go it alone. Family and friends are asked to support a fundraising goal.
Lift passes are provided for Saturday and Sunday, March 15 and 16. A tracking chip and downloadable app allow participants to track their progress and earn badges for riding different lifts and participating in different activities on and off the slopes.
Participants can ski as much or as little as they wish and whenever they wish. The event is billed as "the only chance to ski Stratton at night."
Other activities include fireworks, food, music, team trivia, scavenger hunt uphill chill, glow dance party, and tubing and rocking climbing.
Children 11 and younger get in free and aren't required to fundraise. If a team of 10 or more participants registers by Jan. 6, they get a reserved table and two pizzas the night of March 15.
