The focus for Owen-Gage's Students of the Month for November is "Respectful of Others". A student who is respectful of others cares about others and their property, demonstrates courtesy, cooperates with others, and accepts differences in others. He/she also interacts appropriately with others.

The following students have been chosen: Hudson Toner, kindergarten, son of Todd Toner and Miranda Toner; Jared Messing, first grade, son of Nathan and Danielle Messing; Farrah Schmitzer, third grade, daughter of Brittany Emerson; David Molina Alor Jr, fourth grade, son of David Molina Alor; Cassilyn Hux, seventh grade (junior high level), daughter of Darla and Donald Hux; Ethan Dexter, 11th grade (high school level), son of Alicia Dufty; and Lily Willerton, 12th grade (senior student), daughter of John and Loretta Willerton.

Special recognition goes to the "Senior Student of the Month", Lily Willerton. Lily has been on the honor roll, and a member of the 3.0 Honors Club each year of high school. She was inducted into the National Honor Society her junior year. She has served as a class officer all four years of high school, as vice president her freshman year, class representative her sophomore year, and secretary her junior and senior years.

Lily was in high school robotics her freshman year. She has served on the yearbook each year in high school, and is the current editor. As a senior, Willerton represented her class as a homecoming court queen candidate. As a junior, she represented her class as a snowball court member. She has also served on the prom committee.

Lily has attended the Huron Area Technical Center enrolled in the Health Sciences program for two years. Through the Tech Center she has been accepted as a member of the NTHS. Lily works part time at China King in Bad Axe.

Lily plans to pursue a degree to become a pharmacist. She is currently considering Ferris State University for her degree.
