(FOX40.COM) -- A suspected DUI crash in Sacramento on Monday morning has left one person dead, according to the Sacramento Police Department.

Around 12:45 a.m., Officers responded to a crash involving a sedan and SUV at Franklin Boulevard and Sunmeadow Drive.

The driver of the sedan sustained major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash by first responders.

The SUV's driver was transported to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries where they were found to "display objective signs of intoxication," according to police.
