Award-winning spa to open second location in the Roaring Fork Valley

LUMA Medical Aesthetics, an award-winning spa in the Roaring Fork Valley, is set to open a second location in Basalt in March 2025.

The new location will be at 200 Market St., while LUMA's original spa at 823 Grand Ave., Suite 120, in Glenwood Springs, will continue serving clients further downvalley.

LUMA, founded two years ago by James and Ashley Martinez and Stephanie Cisneros, has quickly established itself in the area, winning the Locals Choice Award each year since opening.

"LUMA won best day spa 2nd place our first year and voted best day spa first place our second year," Cisneros said.

LUMA's team includes licensed estheticians, nurses, physician assistants, and medical doctors. Cisneros emphasized that spa services at LUMA aren't just for women addressing aging concerns. Clients include women of all ages, men, and even teens.

"It's all about taking preventative measures," Cisneros said. "Whether it is a sprinkling of botox, having body hair removed, or choosing laser treatment instead of needles for a less invasive treatment, LUMA can treat women of any age, including teens struggling with acne."

One option for acne treatment is broadband light (BBL) therapy, which gently heats the skin's upper layers to stimulate cell regeneration and improve skin texture. BBL can address acne, age spots, brown spots, freckles, redness, sun damage, vascular lesions, and wrinkles.

Cisneros noted that men make up a significant portion of LUMA's clientele.

"A man's spa day isn't about pampering, it's about preventative maintenance for the body and mind," Cisneros said. "Even the toughest guys need a little relaxation, and a spa is the perfect place to find it."

LUMA offers a wide range of treatments, from minimally invasive injectables and laser procedures to more intensive services that Cisneros said can "easily take off 10 years."

"Injections and laser treatment options are minimally invasive alternatives to surgical procedures," she said. "This means less downtime, fewer risks, and a quicker recovery, allowing you to return to your daily activities almost immediately."

Though injectables are not permanent, results can last from several months to over a year, depending on the type of treatment.

Laser hair removal is among LUMA's more frequently performed services, offering long-lasting results.

"Laser treatment targets and destroys hair follicles, reducing hair growth over time," Cisneros said. "Most people experience significant hair reduction after 6-8 treatments."

Immediate results are one of the key draws for clients.

"One of the most appealing aspects of injectables is the instant transformation they provide," Cisneros said. "Whether you're looking to smooth out fine lines, add volume to your lips, or enhance facial contours, results can often be seen immediately after treatment."

Cisneros encouraged those interested to book a free consultation on LUMA's website, http://www.lumamedicalaesthetics.com. The spa also offers LUMA Luxe Reserve, a subscription service providing discounts on services and products, along with access to VIP specials and events.

"At LUMA Medical Aesthetics, we are committed to helping you achieve your aesthetic goals with confidence," Cisneros said. "If you're considering injectables, schedule a consultation with us today to learn more about how we can help you enhance your natural beauty."
