Facebook-parent Meta announced plans this week to build its largest data center ever, a $10 billion behemoth in Louisiana that will be about twice as big as the Superdome football stadium in New Orleans.

Meta is accelerating its artificial intelligence investments, and its rush to secure electricity for its computers will benefit several companies. The data center will need a behemoth amount of power -- about as much as the Hoover Dam provides.
