MONROE TWP. -- The Princeton High girls cross country team has itself a sectional team title, while West Windsor-Plainsboro North's Allison Lee is an individual champ.
The Tigers claimed the Central Group IV crown on Saturday afternoon at Thompson Park when after they got top-10 finishes from Kajol Karra (4th; 18:38.57), Grace Hegedus (6th; 18:49.52) and Eowyn Dess (8th; 19:11.60).
Princeton finished with 49 points ahead of Freehold Twp., which was second with 64.
Lee, the CVC champion, added another individual accolade when she crossed first in Central Group III in a time of 17:46.11.
The finishers from the top five teams in each section, plus the 15th fastest times all qualified for the group meets.
On the boys side, CVC champion Shravan Pradeep of West Windsor South came in second in Central Group IV to Manalapan's Clay Stevens. Pradeep clocked 15:51.70, but it was Stevens with a 15:43.00 who took the top spot.
