A hot game between in-state rivals Michigan and Michigan State will not be enough to keep you warm Saturday night.
A hat, jacket, and maybe gloves will come in handy at the Big House in Ann Arbor. Temperatures will be in the 40s for much of the game. By 11 p.m., temperatures in Ann Arbor will slip into the upper 30s. Ann Arbor's nighttime low will be around 30 degrees.
Saturday night will be mostly clear and cold across Southeast Michigan. In addition to Ann Arbor, it will be around 30 degrees in Howell, Fenton, and Lapeer. Temperatures will drop to 32 degrees, or the freezing point, in Auburn Hills, Macomb Township, Ypsilanti, Monroe, and neighboring communities. It will likely stay above freezing in Detroit, Grosse Ile, St. Clair Shores, and Windsor.
Sunday
Sunday will be mostly sunny and cool. The Lions will host the Tennessee Titans at Ford Field with a 1 p.m. kickoff. Tailgaters can expect late morning temperatures in the mid 40s and early afternoon temperatures in the lower to mid 50s. Midafternoon highs will be in the mid to upper 50s.
Under mostly clear skies, nighttime temperatures will fall to the mid to upper 30s.
Monday
Monday will be a couple of degrees warmer. Highs will be around 60 degrees under partly cloudy skies. Lows will be in the upper 40s to 50 degrees.
Tuesday
Afternoon temperatures will jump into the lower to mid 70s on Tuesday. It will be cloudy and breezy. An isolated shower is also possible in Metro Detroit. The chance of showers will be higher in the Thumb and north of Flint.
Tuesday night will be mostly cloudy. Lows will be in the upper 50s to lower 60s.
Wednesday
Wednesday will likely be the warmest day of the week as temperatures make a run for the record high. Highs will be in the mid 70s, and Metro Airport has a good chance of tying or breaking the record high of 76 degrees (from 1999). That is 20 degrees warmer than the average high. While it will be warm, it will be breezy and mostly cloudy. Lows will be in the upper 50s to 60 degrees.
Halloween
Thursday, or Halloween, will be rainy and cooler as a cold front sweeps across the region. Highs will be in the mid to upper 60s. The average high for Halloween is 56 degrees, and the average low is 39 degrees. Last Halloween (2023), Metro Detroit had measurable snow with 0.2 inches at Metro Airport.
Friday and Saturday
Conditions will be cooler and drier for Friday and Saturday. Expect highs in the mid 50s to near 60 degrees.
