For the last several years, Northview's boys and girls cross country teams have been amongst the top contenders for the Western Indiana Conference championship, and that didn't change at Saturday's meet held at Edgewood High School.
Northview's girls team finished second behind only Edgewood while the boys team finished third behind Edgewood and Indian Creek.
The Lady Knights were led by Hannah Harrison, who finished fourth with a time of 19:56, Josie Lynch, who finished eighth with a time of 21:02, and Aubrey Miller, who finished 12th with a time of 22:11, all of whom earned All-Conference honors with top-15 finishes.
Behind them included Leah Nevill (21st with a time of 23:01), Cora Frederick (23rd with a time of 23:17), Kaleigh Alexander (26th with a time of 23:57) and Silas Graf (33rd with a time of 25:05).
On the boys side, it was the tandem of Camden Johnson, who finished fourth with a time of 16:49, and Connor Propst, who finished 12th with a time of 17:28, that earned All-Conference honors with their top 15 finishes.
Behind them included Daniel Russell (16th with a time of 17:50), Seth Hendricks (17th with a time of 17:56), Will Harms (19th with a time of 18:09), Noah Minett (23rd with a time of 18:20) and Devin Jones (26th with a time of 18:37), all of whom finished inside the meet's top 30 finishers.
Both teams will now turn their full attention to next weekend's sectional championship race held at LaVern Gibson Championship Course as they vie for a top-five finish in the team standings to advance onto the regional round of the state tournament.
