Boox has unveiled the Note Max, a 13.3" E Ink tablet, which features a slim 4.6mm profile and a large monochrome display. The tablet is designed for professionals and creatives for reading, editing and organizing their workflows.
The device features an A4-sized Carta 1300 E Ink display, offering sharper and more defined visuals compared to its predecessor. With a 300 PPI resolution, the screen is tailored for extended reading and writing sessions, with a paper-like experience. It doesn't have front-light, though.
The tablet also supports split-screen feature for multitasking, which allows users to view manage multiple apps or documents simultaneously.
In terms of specs, the Note Max is equipped with a 2.8Ghz octa-core processor ansd 6GB of RAM, as well as the Boox Super Refresh technology, which ensures smooth performance across applications. The tablet runs on Android, which users can download a variety of productivity and creativity apps through the Google Play Store.
An optional keyboard cover will also be available, turning the device into a compact workstation for drafting documents, brainstorming, and note-taking.
Recently we reviewed the Boox Note Air 4C, calling the Android-powered color E Ink tablet "one of the most capable e-readers available today -- though its high price and steep learning curve may not appeal to everyone."
