Pacifica police recover stolen motorcycle from stolen car, arrest driver

(KRON) -- A San Francisco man who authorities said was in possession of two stolen vehicles that were tracked to Pacifica was arrested Monday, according to the Pacifica Police Department.

Pacifica police responded at 10:25 a.m. to the area of Nelson and Del Mar avenues on the report of a stolen vehicle that was being tracked. The stolen crossover SUV, a gray Mazda CX-5, was spotted by officers and the driver was detained, Pacifica PD said.

The driver, who was the sole occupant in the stolen Mazda, was identified by police as Darryl Quito Dantes, 33, of San Francisco.

Officers located a Sonders electric motorcycle in the Mazda's cargo area. The registered owner of the motorcycle was unaware it had been stolen from his home in Milpitas, according to authorities.

Pacifica police said illegal narcotics paraphernalia was visible in plain view inside the stolen Mazda.

Dantes was arrested and booked into the San Mateo County Jail for possession of a stolen vehicle, vehicle theft and possession of illegal drug paraphernalia.
