The Kansas City Chiefs have had to deal with injuries early in their 2024 campaigns, and with star wide receiver Rashee Rice out for the foreseeable future, general manager Brett Veach may have to make a move to ensure that Patrick Mahomes has the pass-catcher he needs to pursue a Super Bowl three-peat.
No less than three of Kansas City's top playmakers are currently on injured reserve. Rice, running back Isiah Pacheco, and wide receiver Marquise 'Hollywood' Brown are all sidelined indefinitely, and fans are starting to question whether the Chiefs can make do with the talent currently on their roster.
Despite its undefeated record heading into Week 5, Kansas City's offense has gotten off to a slow start, and without Rice, the defending champions may struggle to stay on course through the middle part of their regular season schedule.
Chiefs fans on Twitter seem zeroed in on the idea that Kansas City should trade for Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper in the wake of Rice's injury.
During and after Cleveland's 34-13 loss to the Washington Commanders, members of Chiefs Kingdom made their case for Veach to give the Browns a call to get Cooper to Kansas City.
