Rain disrupted day three of the third test between India and Australia in the ongoing test series between India and Australia.

India won the first test held between November 22 and 25, by 295 runs, with Jasmit Bumrah's fiery five-wicket haul in the first inning (5/30) and a 3/42 in the second. The Kangaroos won the 2nd test held between Dec 6 and 8, by 10 wickets. Travis Head with an impressive 140 was declared the player of the match. Both Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj took 4 wickets each in the first innings and none in the second. In the third test held at Gabba, Australia posted 445 runs fueled by Travis Head's 152 and Steve Smith's 101. Bumrah repeated his five-wicket haul by taking 6 for 76 in the first inning. The Indian batsmen were a disappointment, losing 4 wickets for 51 runs, until rain came to rescue. Virat Kohli was dispatched to the pavilion for 3, while Shubman Gill was dismissed for 1, and Rishabh made an unimpressive 9 runs.
