NH man sentenced for harassing, intimidating NHPR journalists, officials say

After more than two years since the investigation began, a fourth person involved in the harassing and stalking of two New Hampshire Public Radio journalists was sentenced.The Department of Justice said Keenan Saniatan, 36, of Nashua, was sentenced Friday to 30 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release. Officials said Saniatan pleaded guilty in September to one count of conspiracy to commit stalking using a facility of interstate commerce and one count of stalking using a facility of interstate commerce. The Department of Justice said on the night of April 24, 2022, per Eric Labarge's request, Saniatan spray-painted profanity in large red letters on the front door of one of the NHPR journalists' homes in Concord and threw a large rock at the house. Later that night, officials said Saniatan also spray-painted the same profanity on the home of the other journalists' parents in Hampstead and threw a rock through their window.Labarge was sentenced to 46 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release. Labarge was also ordered to pay $34,139 in restitution to the victims, pay an additional $10,000 fine and complete 200 hours of community service. The two other men involved in the case, Tucker Cockerline and Michael Waselchuck, were sentenced earlier this year. Cockerline was sentenced to 27 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release. Waselchuck was sentenced to 21 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release.
