Sky 5 on Friday flew over the aftermath of a large house fire in Holly Springs.
The fire was reported before 1 p.m. on Plumbago Drive.
Sky 5 flew over the two-story home one hour later. The garage and a large portion of the front of the home were badly charred, and more than a dozen firefighters were going in and out of the home with hoses.
Radio traffic indicates a cat did not survive, but firefighters could not confirm the death of a pet.
Video from Sky 5 showed firefighters wrapping a small item in a blanket.
The back deck and portions of the rear of the home were also damaged.
WRAL News is working to learn the cause of the fire and if anyone was injured.
