Nov. 2 -- November 2, 2014 -- Bemidji's David Park House is one of 22 Minnesota homes featured in a new book from the Minnesota Historical Society Press titled, "Minnesota's Own: Preserving Our Grand Homes." The section on the David Park House spans 14 pages and includes a full-page photo of the building's three-story winding staircase.

November 2, 1999 -- Actor Peter Weller recently visited St. Mary's Mission School in Red Lake. The school's new Writing to Read lab is a reality thanks mostly to Weller and the Riordan Foundation, which each donated $15,000 to fund the computer reading lab.

November 2, 1974 -- Three local candidates for public office will conduct pieces of music during the annual Bemidji State College marching band concert, with a fourth candidate serving as master of ceremonies. The concert is a project undertaken by the BSC band club and is billed as a show that is strictly for fun.

November 2, 1924 -- The local Republican meeting of the present campaign will take place at the new armory in Bemidji. U.S. Sen. Robert B. Howell of Nebraska and Dr. Oeachger of Denver will be present to discuss campaign issues. This will be the last rally this season.
