Alexis Claude-Maurice scored a brace as Augsburg heaped more misery on Borussia Dortmund with a 2-1 comeback victory in the Bundesliga on Saturday.
French summer signing Claude-Maurice made the most of his first start when he struck in the 25th and 50th to overturn Dortmund's early lead from Donyell Malen.
Dortmund also had Almugera Kabar sent off in stoppage time of his debut match as a substitute, for a second bookable offence.
It was the latest setback for Dortmund after they crashed 5-2 at Real Madrid in the Champions League in mid-week after leading 2-0 at the half.
Ambitious Dortmund have lost all three league matches after European duty and have earned only one Bundesliga point away from home in four matches. Augsburg have earned all their 10 points at home.
RB Leipzig meanwhile went top for at least 24 hours with a 3-1 comeback win over third-placed Freiburg. The visitors led from Ritsu Doan but Leipzig hit back after the break from Willi Orban, Lutsharel Geertruida and Lois Openda.
VfB Stuttgart beat winless Holstein Kiel 2-1 in a game both teams ended with 10 men. Deniz Undav and El Bilal Toure put the hosts two up before Jeff Chabot was sent off. Armin Gigovic revived Kiel's hopes before their Fiete Arp also got his marching orders.
St Pauli Hamburg and Wolfsburg drew 0-0, while the late game is Werder Bremen v champions Bayer Leverkusen. Mainz and Borussia Mönchengladbach drew 1-1 on Friday.
The Sunday games are bottom side Bochum v Bayern Munich, who will return to the top with a victory; Union Berlin v Eintracht Frankfurt; and Heidenheim v Hoffenheim.
