VACAVILLE -- The city's annual Howl-O-Ween Pet Parade & Costume Contest is set for Oct. 26 at Andrews Park.
Prizes go to Most Creative (dog-only); Funniest Fur Ball (dog-only); and Best Pack (human/dog combo). There is a $5 per contestant fee.
"To participate, dogs must be friendly, licensed, vaccinated and leashed. Each contestant will have 1 minute to put their best 'paw' forward. Three community judges will cast the final vote, and winners will be announced at the end of the event," the city's Parks and Recreation Department said in a statement.
"In addition, to view the parade and contest, event-goers can enjoy face painting, bingo, PUPkin' patch (pumpkin patch for pups), take an event photo and enter a prize drawing. Attendees will have the opportunity to watch a Solano County Sheriff's Department dog demonstration. Please note, event activities and vendors are subject to change," the city stated.
