Justin Chon and Bobby Hundreds are making a half-hour drama series about the streetwear world, according to Deadline.
Titled Burnfield, the show is set to be based on the creative duo's own experiences in fashion. Hundreds founded his community-based workwear label, The Hundreds, alongside Ben Hundreds in 2003, and it has since become known for its graphic-heavy design ethos and pop-cultural collaborations. Chon, meanwhile, was behind the streetwear retail chain The Attic in Southern California for a decade.
Chon and Hundreds are co-creating and co-showrunning the series, acting as executive producers alongside Garrett Basch, who previously worked on What We Do in the Shadows and Reservation Dogs. The series, which was preemptively purchased by FX, will be directed by Chon.
Notably, Chon and Hundreds are also working on the namesake Sublime biopic, which stars KJ Apa. The pair are writing the screenplay for the film, which is based on Chris Mundy's original script. Francis Lawrence, one of the brains behind the Hunger Games franchise, is on board to direct the project.
There are currently no further details on Burnfield's cast, plot or release date, but stay tuned to Hypebeast as more information becomes available.
